COVID-19 RESPONSE PROTOCOLS
At Flesh Tattoos we are committed to the health and safety of our staff, clients and community.
As such we have developed a detailed Covid-19 plan that has been implemented. These policies are vital to ensure the highest level of safety for all.
WE BOOK BY APPOINTMENT ONLY FOR TATTOO SERVICE.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.
FLESH IS OPERATING AT FULL CAPACITY AS OF MARCH 1, 2022. WE DO ASK THAT YOU LIMIT YOUR GUESTS TO 1 PERSON AS WE ARE STILL A SMALL STUDIO.
NO PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIRED.
CLIENT SERVICE PRACTICES:
We have hand sanitizer available at the studio should you choose to use.
Prior to completing our Service Waiver, you will fill out a Covid-19 screening questionnaire (pictured below).
All answers must be NO in order to proceed with tattoo appointment at Flesh.
Covid-19 Vaccine Policy:
In the interest of providing the highest level of service based on best health and safety practices, Flesh Tattoos has updated our operating policy relating to Covid-19 vaccines.
If you have received a Covid vaccine within the last 14 days, you will not be eligible to be booked in for appointment until 14 days from your receiving vaccine has elapsed.
Vaccination is a medical intervention that we have no research or findings to substantiate low risk to tattoo process, healing and appropriate aftercare success.
This precaution is to ensure Flesh can maintain the safest possible working environment for all. We in no way are suggesting or making statement one way or the other with regards to your personal choice to receive the vaccination. Flesh Tattoos supports the pro choice of each individual to make their own best health practices a priority. We just ask that you plan ahead when making an appointment to ensure you meet the eligibility for service at our establishment.
TRAVEL & YOUR APPOINTMENT:
We have a mandatory 2 week travel ban time frame from date of you returning home to date of your booked appointment.
If there is a need to reschedule due to a travel issue, it will be rebooked at clients own cost, deposit void. And new deposit required to reschedule. This travel restriction has existed for purpose of receiving tattoo long before the pandemic and relates to the clients ability to perform appropriate aftercare as instructed by your artist.
ILLNESS & RESCHEDULING:
Clients are required to call and re-book if feeling unwell.
Your deposit will be rolled over to a new date and time once without penalty.
RESCHEDULING REQUIRED if you, or anyone in your household has come in contact with a person who has tested positive for, or has a potential case of Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
** If you call in when you are already supposed to be at your appointment or where client arrives noticeably unwell, you will be asked to re-book at your own cost. Anyone showing signs of illness will not be permitted on the premises.
** If you have had a recent Covid-19 test administered within 2 weeks of your appointment, please ensure you have negative results available to show your artist or a minimum of 2 weeks has elapsed from onset of symptoms or positive test.
STAFF COVID PROTOCOLS:
Client appointments will be spaced out to ensure staff has enough time to adequately sterilize work station before next appointment.
We have rigorous cleaning protocols already in place as mandated by York Region Public Health which we have been further amplified to address Covid-19 and ensure safety within this pandemic state.
Which includes but is not limited to:
Sterilization of commonly touched surfaces and areas 2-3x/ day. Morning & closing. Sometimes mid day on high traffic days. Commonly touched surfaces and areas include, doors, door handles, table tops, pens, clip boards, washrooms, chairs, drafting room, Debit machines, kitchen area, floors etc. We will leave nothing in our studio untouched.
Individual Tattoo stations are sterilized after every client.
We use hospital grade anti-microbial cleaning solutions. Most commonly used are CaviCide, High potency bleach wipes, medical grade green soap and 70-90% alcohol products.
Flesh Tattoos has an emergency plan protocol in place that all staff are trained on and that is available for review upon request.
PRICING & PAYMENTS:
JR Artist Hourly rate $130 +hst
SR Artist Hourly rate $170 +hst
Accepted payments for service remain Cash, Credit, Debit.
Deposits can be submitted via Cash or E-transfer directly to the artist you are booking with.
All deposits are non-refundable.
We know this is a lot to take in. We understand these changes may not always be convenient or comfortable. But this is what we need to do to be able to service our fantastic community once again. It won't be forever!
